Our high output MR11 8 SMD LED lamp fits comfortably into most side mounted reading and bunk lights designed to operate with MR11 halogen lamps.

Similar MR11 lamps are supplied widely to the domestic household market, where they are used with separate LED drivers. These lamps appear less expensive. Beware, many lamps sold for domestic use do not have any internal constant-current voltage controls and are therefore not suitable for use on boats where voltage can vary up to 16V on 12V systems and as high as 28V on a 24V system. Using these lamps will often result in a much reduced service life.

The lamp minimises EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for use in motor vehicles. We utilise specially designed PCB layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference). This lamp has built in voltage transient (spike) and excess current protection. This lamp is fitted with our Buck-Boost electronic control circuit which ensures that the light output is consistently bright when voltage varies and lamp life is maximised.

The light output is UV free and unlike conventional lamps its light output will not fade surfaces, furnishing fabrics or attract flying insects.
