This BA22D compact, constant-current, Bus / Golf Ball style lamp utilises the latest high output 2835 LEDs which offer significantly increased light output when compared to 5050 and 5630 LEDs. The lamp has the added benefit of reduced power input when compared to similar sized 5050 lamps. 

This lamp is available in day white for utility and work areas and warm white for living areas. This lamp is ideal to sympathetically light your boat’s interior particularly where the lamp may be visible. It is also available in an E27 fitting.

The lamp is fitted with an on board electronic fuse (non-linear thermistor) and transient voltage (spike) protection diode and is an excellent fit in most wall light fixtures. It is particularly suitable for use on boats where there is some previous experience of LED lamp failures.

This high output lamp, compares very well in terms of both colour and light output with a 25W incandescent lamp. Our on-board Buck-Boost electronic control circuit ensures a constant bright light output when the supply voltage varies and contributes to a long service life. These lamps are designed to minimise EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for non marine use. We utilise specially designed PCB layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference).

Boatlamps recommend generously lubricating all external lamp-holder contacts with Contralube 770 gel to both protect and prevent corrosion of all metal parts.

The light output is UV free and unlike conventional lamps its light output will not fade surfaces, furnishing fabrics and attract less flying insects.

These lamps are not polarity conscious, they are fitted with a 4 independent diode bridge rectifier and can therefore be connected either way without damage.
