Refunds and Returns


Boatlamps will notify you via email of your refund (see Returns below) and we aim to do this within fourteen (14) working days. Please note that we can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error or a faulty product.

We aim to please so if you are dissatisfied with any product or service of ours we want to know about it so please email us or contact us at the addresses and numbers below. If any items your purchase from are faulty or develop a fault, please send us details of the problem and we will get back to you within five (5) working days – though we aim to be quicker (we are open 10am to 4pm GMT, Monday to Friday excluding UK public holidays). We will refund the cost of any faulty product or we will replace it free of charge. This does not affect your UK Statutory Rights as a consumer.

Within fourteen (14) days of receipt of your order, you may return any unused / unopened items for a full refund. Goods must be unopened and completely unused and in a 100% saleable condition. Please note that we can only process returns and refunds for items purchased from

If items are purchased on a discounted or trade basis, discretionary returns are subject to a £10.00 restocking fee which reflects the administration cost involved in processing returns.

Due to rapid changing technology and slight change of light colour between lamp batches, returns are not accepted after 30 days have elapsed post delivery, unless of course where goods are faulty. In the case of faulty goods products will be covered by our warranty. 

The UK’s Consumer Contracts Regulations require that you provide written notice of cancellation (i.e. you wish to return the goods) within fourteen (14) working days. Goods do not have to be returned within this period for you to secure a refund. A refund must be made within fourteen (14) days of the receipt of your written cancellation, but we may delay refund if we have not received the cancelled items or sufficient evidence they have been returned. If items have been sent by a non-standard delivery method requested by the customer, the additional cost for this non-standard delivery will not be refunded.

To return an item, please wrap your goods securely and please include our original packing slip with your return. If you do not have your packing slip, please indicate the order number on a separate piece of paper. Or print off and enclose your email receipt. We would appreciate it if you could indicate the reason for returning an item, but this is entirely optional.

For your protection, we recommend that you use an insured recorded and tracked delivery for shipment as obviously we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Please note that we can only refund your shipping costs if the return is a result of our error or if you are returning a faulty product.

Returning goods from outside of the UK i.e. EU and the Rest of the World, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the shipping paperwork is correct and detailed such the the item is identified to UK customs as being RETURN ITEMS(s). A copy of the original purchase receipt should accompany the return. 

If Boatlamps Ltd is charged UK VAT, Duty and Courier/Postal admin charges due to inadequately detailed customs paperwork, the costs incurred will be deducted from any refund due.
