Long back pin G4 LED bulb, smaller dual colour, red or warm white, which is switchable and utilises the latest 2835, surface mounted LEDs.

This lamp offers two output colours from the same lamp and is ideal for all types of G4 fixtures found on boats and is ideal for both 12 Volt and 24 Volt systems. The lamp’s relatively small diameter makes it particularly suitable to fit into most overhead down-lighters that utilise vertically mounted G4 halogen lamps. The red light output is perfect for lighting interior areas at night – offering very low current consumption whilst helping to preserve night vision.

When initially switched on three red LEDs provide adequate red light for crew to clearly see and move around the vessel at night without disturbing others. With a simple toggle of the light switch the lamp turns into a bright warm white lamp that at is equivalent to the effective light output of a 10 watt halogen lamp. A slightly delayed further toggle of the switch and the lamp reverts back to red output.

These lamps are designed to minimise EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for non marine use. We utilise specially designed PCB layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference).

The lamp is fitted with a Buck-Boost electronic controller which ensure steady light output when the supply voltage is subject to variation. The controller ensures steady light output together with an extended service life. The light output is UV free and unlike conventional lamps its light output will not fade surfaces, furnishing fabrics or attract flying insects.

These lamps are not polarity conscious, they are fitted with a 4 independent diode bridge rectifier and can therefore be connected either way without damage.
