G4 6 SMD red LED back pin lamp with added on-board voltage and current protection.

This 6 SMD G4 LED lamp fits most down-lights fittings found on marine vessels. The red light output is popular with boat owners for lighting interiors at night to help preserve night vision. Also see our dual coloured lamps which offer both red and light output colour changed by simply toggling the switch off an on again.

The lamp is fitted with our Buck-Boost electronic control circuit which ensures that the light output is consistently bright when voltage varies and lamp life is maximised. Additional protection is is provided by on board spike protection and a self resetting electronic fuse.

These lamps are designed to minimise EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for non marine use. We utilise specially designed PCB layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference).

The light output is UV free and unlike conventional lamps its light output will not fade surfaces, furnishing fabrics or attract flying insects.

These lamps are not polarity conscious they are fitted a independent diode bridge rectifier and can therefore be connected either way without damage.
