This is another great lamp for internal and sealed external down lights to replace current intensive MR16 halogen lamps. It can be used for general lighting or to highlight an area.

This lamp minimises EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for use in motor vehicles. We utilise specially designed PCB layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference). This lamp has our Buck-Boost 10-30v constant-current control circuit which ensures a steady bright light output despite variations in your boat's supply voltage. This combined with our 4 x1W high power LEDs and built in electronic protection ensures a long reliable working life.

The light output is UV free and unlike conventional lamps its light output will not fade surfaces, furnishing fabrics or attract flying insects.

Similar looking MR16, 12 Volt lamps are supplied widely to the domestic household market, where they are used with separate LED drivers. Lamps sold for domestic use often do not have any internal constant-current voltage controls therefore they are not suitable for use on boats. Voltage on a boat can vary between 11V and 16V for  12V installations and 22V to 28V on 24V installations dependant on battery charger characteristics. Using lamps designed to be used with fixed voltage power supplies will often result in a much reduced LED service life.
