Waterproof LED Festoon lamp ideal for bow or exposed fixtures in red, green or red/green combined.

This water-proof high quality 43 / 44mm LED lamp is designed to replace a 10W incandescent lamp commonly used in Aqua Signal navigation light fixtures for all boats up to 12m and is suitable for 12 Volt systems.

Important: Please check actual lamp used in your fixture as Aqua Signal changed over to cone end Festoon lamps in mid 2010.

The lamp is constructed using 18 high quality LEDs which together effectively create a very bright lamp for bi-colour and separate port and starboard lights.

The LEDs are epoxy sealed into an anodised aluminium cylinder and connected via isolated cone contacts at both ends. This lamp is rated IP68 and in theory can be operated underwater. Ideal for those leaky bow mounted fixtures destined to regularly dip beneath the waves. The lamp comes with Boatlamps full 2 year warranty.

Boatlamps recommend generously lubricating all external lamp-holder contacts with Contralube 770 gel to protect and prevent corrosion of metal parts.

These lamps are not polarity conscious, they are fitted with a diode bridge rectifier and can therefore be connected either way without damage. They emit zero EMI so will not adversely affect VHF or AIS systems.

Important: In common with other replacement LED lamps on the market, it is not possible to have any sort of marine authority certification for individual replacement bulbs. These LED lamps are easily visible at distances exceeding 3nm in standard fixtures and are the brightest replacement LED bulbs available. Given the vast array of navigation light fittings installed on marine vessels, it is the user's decision alone whether to use this product to retrofit any particular light fitting used for navigation purposes.
