This great general purpose LED bayonet lamp is perfect for replacing bayonet type BA15S (level bayonet pins) incandescent bulbs used in light fixtures found on many boats. This lamp is also available in a double contact BA15D base. 24SMD, 2835, warm white lamps are recommended for internal lighting and cool white for use in external fixtures.

This lamp is pretty much unaffected by the daily bumps and knocks expected in a practical marine environment and keep going where traditional incandescent bulbs often fail prematurely.

The lamp has on-board Buck-Boost electronic controls and 18 high output SMD LEDs which combine to give consistent light output and a very long service life.These lamps are designed to minimise EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for non marine use. We utilise specially designed PCB layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference).

Boatlamps recommend using Contralube 770 Gel on all lamp holder contacts and other connections on your boat. This product will protect against contact corrosion which is the most common reason both LED and traditional incandescent lamps flicker or fail.

The light output is UV free and unlike conventional lamps its light output will not fade surfaces, furnishing fabrics and attract less flying insects.

These lamps are not polarity conscious, they are fitted with a diode bridge rectifier and can therefore be connected either way without damage.
