This very bright high output LED lamp is perfect for bulkhead light fixtures.
Light output of this LED lamp exceeds that of our 60 SMD VHO ‘compact’ lamp due to increased spacing of LEDs and the use of special thermally efficient and ventilated PCB substrate. This new 60 SMD, 2835, 626 lumen LED lamp was designed and constructed to maximise both light output and thermal efficiency particularly for use in bulkhead light fixtures where high light output is desirable. It is available in warm white (ideal for interior living areas) and cool white. The lamp is ideal for replacing both 10W and 25W incandescent lamps and is ideal for both 12 Volt and 24 Volt systems.
This bulb has our on-board PWM, Buck-Boost, electronic control circuit which allows the lamp to operate satisfactorily even when smart battery chargers are used. The lamp has both an electronic fuse and voltage spike protection. These combine with 60 high output SMD LEDs to give consistent light output and a very long service life. The lamp is designed to minimise EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for non marine use. We utilise specially designed PCB layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference).
Boatlamps recommend using Contralube 770 Gel on all lamp holder contacts and other connections on your boat. This product will protect against contact corrosion which is the most common reason both LED and traditional incandescent lamps flicker or fail.
The light output is UV free and unlike conventional lamps its light output will not fade surfaces, furnishing fabrics and attract less flying insects.
These lamps are not polarity conscious as they are fitted with a diode bridge rectifier and can therefore be connected either way without damage.
