Sea Hawk-R floodlight casing is a ‘non-metal’, precision injection moulding of a thermally conductive ceramic polymer that's highly resistant to degradation, even under harsh UV light. Ceramic polymer is very effective in transferring heat away from internal electronics to external surfaces for cooling which is essential for reliable long-term operation, Hella Marines' thermal polymer eliminates the requirement for an aluminium housing in this class of floodlight, thus removing the potential for surface finish deterioration and material corrosion risk associated with coated metal in the harsh marine environment.

The Sea Hawk-R floodlight offers light output of 550 lumens for only 7W of battery consumption. The engineered optical system illuminates with a wide, spread over cockpits, foredecks or other working areas on both commercial and recreational vessels.
